Lakeland Mechanic Killed by RV By Moody Law | Personal Injury Attorneys on March 18, 2010

Gerald L. McMurty, 58, was killed when an RV that he was working on accidentally rolled.  McMurty and another mechanic were working on a 30 foot RV at Munday Machinery at 8165 State Road 33 North when the vehicle rolled at approximately 11:40 a.m.  The two mechanics were working on an automatic leveling system.  The vehicle was lifted by a 2 ton jack.  The other mechanic was in the bathroom at the time of the accident.  When he returned, he used a forklift to remove the RV.  McMurty was given CPR but could not be resuscitated.  The accident remains under investigation.
