Car Hits Toddler

A toddler was struck and injured by an SUV in Clearwater, Florida on Friday night.  2 year old Gabriel Johnson of Clearwater, Florida was struck at the intersection of Cleveland Street and Frederica Avenue.  He was with his mother and siblings at the time of the accident around 7:30 p.m.  The SUV was driven by Robert C. Tausinger, 49, of Clearwater, Florida.  Tausinger was headed west on Cleveland Street.  The toddler was taken to Bayfront Medical Center.   Emergency responders found the child responsive.  No charges have been filed and the accident is still under investigation.
