Passenger Dies in Interstate 4 Accident
Seminole County, Florida. A woman from Apopka, Florida was killed in a car accident on Interstate-4 near State Road 434. The woman, Jessica Rena Hurst, 24, was a passenger in a 2001 Kia going east in the middle lane when the driver of the Kia, Justin Michael Jones, 24, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, suddenly veered right. The accident occurred at approximately 9:16 p.m. Jones' vehicle spun around and struck a Ford pickup truck that was stopped on the grass shoulder of the road. Hurst was transported to South Seminole Hospital and died there. Jones was sent to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition. There is no indication yet on whether Hurst or Jones were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the pickup truck was Victor Sochocki, 41, of St. Cloud. He was not injured. Charges are pending.
