Lakeland Man Dies in Kathleen Road Car Accident By Moody Law | Personal Injury Attorneys on May 24, 2010

Lakeland, Florida.  A 25 year old Lakeland man, David Burney, was killed in a car accident Sunday night.  Burney is alleged to have run a red light and turned left from 10th Street onto Kathleen Road, going northing.  Burney had a passenger, Elaine M. Young, 23, who was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.  Burney was driving a 1986 Volvo.  Burney was pronounced dead at the scene by Polk County Emergency Medical Services.  Burney's vehicle was hit by  Sharae Nicole Murphy, 26.  Murphy was driving a 2006 Dodge Durango SUV.  She had three minor passengers with her at the time of the crash.
