Fatal Accident in New Smyrna Beach

New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  A fatal traffic accident occurred on Interstate 95 in Volusia County.  The accident occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes near mile marker 248.  The accident occurred just south of State Road 44.  Interestate 95 in New Smyrna Beach was shut down because of the accident.  Rescue crews took another person to a hospital for medical treatment.
