I-4 Car Accident on Fire
A UPS semi-truck burst into flames after jacknifing, losing control, and striking a 2008 Ford Edge SUV. The accident occurred near Fairbanks Avenue blocked traffic for several hours. The driver of the truck, Craig Roy, 39, of Middleberg, told the Florida HIghway Patrol that his truck had a mechanical issue and lost control. The truck struck the concrete barrier of the median. Steven Lambert, of Fleming Island, was a passenger in the UPS truck. The driver of the SUV was Michael Shaver of Maitland, Florida, 44. Roy was apparently not injured. Charges are pending in this crash.
