Wrong Way Accident Kills 2

Two people are dead after a car accident that occurred because a man drove the wrong way on Interstate 4.  Ramiro Echevarria Muniz, 49, of Polk City, Florida, was driving a 1993 Honda Accord.  Muniz traveled east on I-4 into oncoming westbound traffic west of McIntosh Road at about 2:15 a.m.  Christine Yates, 51, of Deltona, Florida was driving a 2001 Olsmobile Alero was killed.  Muniz was killed as a result of the accident also.  The Oldsmobile was in the outside lane and a 2006 Volkswagen Touareg was in the center lane.  The Honda and the Volkswagen collided.  The Honda then rotated into the outside lane and collided with the Oldsmobile.  The Oldsmobile flipped over.  Christopher Sheridan, 28, of Lutz, Florida, was the driver of the Volkswagen.  Sheridan had a passengers, Stella Tornabene, 31, of Boca Raton, Florida.  They received minor injuries.  Kara Yates, 21, of Orlando, Florida was a passenger in the Olsmobile and received minor injuries.  Christine Yates was wearing a seatbelt.  This crash is still under investigation to determine whether alcohol was a factor.
