Dunedin Pedestrian Hit by Car By Moody Law | Personal Injury Attorneys on November 23, 2010

The 62-year-old pedestrian struck by a car in Dunedin, Florida has not been identified.  The accident happened on Main Street near County Road 1.  This accident was reported to authorities at 2:20 p.m.  The pedestrian was flown to Bayfront Medical Center.

While it is not clear where the pedestrian was in this instances, drivers of motor vehicles have a duty to watch out for and avoid striking pedestrians.  This accident happened in the middle of the day and there appears no indication that the driver of the vehicle could have seen the pedestrian.  While some pedestrians do walk out in front of cars without looking, there are other cases where a driver failed to take the last opportunity to avoid a collision with a pedestrian.  Oftentimes, the injuries to the pedestrian are very severe even for a low speed impact and also often cause death.  These cases almost always involve some sort of comparative fault on the motorist.  If you or a loved one has been in a car accident, please contact a Central Florida car accident lawyer for a discussion of your rights and responsibilities.  A consultation with a Central Florida car accident lawyer is free.
