Aviation - Single Engine Plane Crash

This case involved the death of a young woman who was killed while riding as a passenger in a private single engine aircraft. She was survived by a minor child. The aircraft pilot was not instrument rated, and therefore, not authorized by the F.A.A. to fly in adverse weather. At the time of the crash the weather was adverse with low ceilings. The pilot became disoriented resulting in uncontrolled flight into terrain. The pilot was also killed. The case resulted in a confidential settlement to the client.
