Takata Airbag Recall
Over 8 million vehicles sold in the past 10 years from various automobile manufacturers are being recalled because of defective airbags that inflate too quickly and can cause shrapnel related injuries in a crash. These airbags are all manufactured by Takata, a Japanese company. As injury lawyers, we have seen cases where airbags are deployed in the crash and the impact was not particularly severe. Of course the airbag is still a good thing for the motoring public to have. However, the point to be made here is that crashes that would ordinarily not cause any injury (where the airbag has deployed) are now at risk of an unnecessary injury due to the shrapnel as a result of a defective design. If you think that you might have a vehicle that is part of the recall, please take the time to have your vehicle properly repaired. If you or a loved one has been involved in an accident where the airbag caused you injury, particularly due to shrapnel and your vehicle was part of the recall, then you may have a valuable product liability claim and should seek a free consultation with a Central Florida product liability attorney for assistance with your claim. The lawyers at Moody Law have handled a number of product liability cases in the past and we have the experience to help you with your claim.
