My name is Dan Moody. I am a practicing trial lawyer. I've been practicing law since 1985. I grew up in the Polk County area, attended local schools, and was active in sports, high school sports. I have a lot of family in the area. I'm a fifth generation Floridian. What I can tell you about myself is I have been a practicing trial lawyer for over 27 plus years. I have handled a wide variety of cases, including complex medical malpractice cases, all the way through very difficult train accident cases, trucking cases, spinal cord injury, brain injury cases. I've helped literally thousands of people over these 27 years in my practice as a personal injury lawyer. I have a background in science. I have an associate of science degree, where I took courses in microbiology, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology. All of these science courses that I took to obtain this AS degree has really helped me in the field that I practice in, which is primarily in medical malpractice and personal injury. All of these types of cases involve some type of anatomy, some type of biology, if you will, physiology, and that background has tremendously helped me. I get great comfort and a great sense of reward when I do help these folks, because most of the time they're going through very difficult times and have suffered a devastating loss or an injury. Many times, where the whole family is affected, I provide support and guidance, for these folks, and try to help them mend their lives and get them back on the right track.
